I’man Boykin of Sacred Beginnings, LLC lives to be LOVE in every way possible. Since the age of 3 years old, Boykin knew she had a calling on her life. At that young age, she labeled the calling “a baby doctor.” But, as time went on, Boykin realize she wanted to work within a more holistic and spiritual approach to the sacred birth experience. Boykin knew she wanted to stay away from the "business" behind birth, and instead decided to focus on getting back to the natural and traditional way of birth. As time went on she realized the callings true label was “Holistic Doula.” She realized the importance of ensuring the women and families were whole, peaceful, blissful and serene during the birth experience. With Boykin’s passion for empowering women, and truly getting mothers to understand their pure essence and power, she has contributed to the sacred space of birth. Each birth being different and beautiful in its own unique way.

Through Boykin’s own journey of self healing she also incorporates the usage of Reiki healing in her doula practice. Energy work has been vital in Boykin assisting in creating beautiful birth experiences. She works to tap into the energy of the mother and child to ensure proper alignment and balance. Boykin serves as a vessel of LOVE to ensure the baby is brought this earthly realm in the most sacred and loving way possible. Each spirit is brought into the world with “SACRED BEGINNINGS.”

The joy of being a doula is definitely a calling for Boykin. She works to not only tap into the spirit of the baby, but also assists in improving the overall family structure. When asked to describe the birthing experience, Boykin is actually speechless, but the LOVE is highly visible in her smile and bright eyes. She just says "I'M GRATEFUL!!!!"
